H1N1 and Foggy Day

These two days. Su-zhou is covered by thick fog. We live above 20th flr. and sometimes feel like we are on an airplane surrounded by white clouds.

Winston got H1N1. He started high body temperature on Monday night and the temperature was not down until the 3rd day. Then he had stuffy nose on Wednesday
night until now. He coughs a lot today. At least the fever stopped. The leftover symptoms are very much like normal cold, but still bothering him (and me) a lot. Sometimes he is active but sometimes looks tired. I hope the H1N1 wave will pass very soon.

A Complaint Free World

I am reading the book A Complaint Free World written by Will Bowen. This book is clear and easy to follow. So far, I only read the beginning 2 chapters and mostly agree with the author but to a small degree doubt exists in my mind.
I like to raise some questions to myself before I finish this book, and I hope I can find the answers before the end of the book.
How can a complaint free world exist and is it necessary to have a complaint free life? (or maybe I misunderstood the author's meaning.)
If we actually follow the steps to achieve a personal complaint free life, are there really nothing bothering us, or we just learn to ignore troubles and problems.
If we do learn to ignore problems, how can we actually solve the problems?
My thought is that if the problems are there, they will stay no matter we complain it or not.
And isn't it better if we complain and enhance the need to solve the problem?
Isn't it nice to hear friends' complaints to release his/her tension in life?
Is a complaint-free world too cold and people in that world too indifferent?
As I ask these questions, I feel the need to define the word "complain".
My thought is:
Complaint-free doesn't mean problem-free.
If complaining makes you happier and release the burden of your mental life, why not complain and speak out.
If complaint makes better changes, do complain.
If complaining makes your life worse and can not help solve the problems, then save it.

My thought might change after I finish the book.

A complaint free world doesn't sound perfect to me. In business world, complaints create opportunity for a new business to attract customers.
From political aspect, if there is no complaints, the government will not progress.

The thing I agree with the authors is:
If you don't like something, Change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. ---by Maya Angelou
Complaint should happen infrequently; critique and gossip, never.
It is important to focus on what we want in our lives rather than putting our attention on what we don't want. Complaining is focusing on what we don't want. ---by the author of the book

I agree with the notion that complaining is focusing on something we don't want. That is why I think there is no need for a complaint free world.
However, if there is something we don't want or don't like, that means making changes will bring us better life. And complaint will attract changes. Of course, we don't want to focus our attention on "complaining"all the time, but we need to complain. Too much complaining would surely make our life miserable.
I feel myself is playing riddles. More pages to dwell on ~

Learn E-mail Posting 發文 Bingo!

IF you see this post in my blog, that means my trial is successful.
Speechless!  Nothing else matters!
I used to write on Google document and share to publish to my blog. Now, "they" blocked the "share”function, too. So hard to breathe in the net!

Now, how did I do it? This would be helpful if you travel to this special country where I currently stay. Or maybe sometimes when you have difficulty openning your blogger.

You go to you blogspot "settings", and find "e-mail & mobile". Click and get in. Set both(1) the e-mail accounts(up to 10 email accounts, I think you at least have two) to post and (2) an Email address (it is specially for mail-posts to your blog) starting with your user name. You need to set your own "secret" words or numbers after your user name and before @blogger.com. And then, you use one of you two e-mail accounts to write a mail to your newly set email. Then you check your blog to see the post. At the end of every post, you better put the words"#end". Otherwise everything including the unwanted words in the bottom of the mail scratch paper will appear in the post.

Don't ask me how to get in blogspot to do it "in this country". Ask the friend you "trust very much" outside of this country to set it for you. But remember once your "secret"word for email posting is revealed, anyone can e-post to your blog. Benefit always comes with Risk!

I was just considering moving my blog to Wordlive Space. But now I think I will stay with blogspot. After all, I am not going to stay in this country forever. And I like the categorizing function in Google.

Think and Grow Rich.

Blogspot Revisit

The great thing about visiting Google blogspot is that I can catch up with my family's and friends' websites and read good posts. These days I have been able to visit my blogspot and others'. My Chicken Soup websites always give me new inspiration. Don't know when my new door will be closed.

After learning that my 6th grade nephew started his own blog and writes interesting diary, I helped Winston build his own, too. Hope he learns how to put what he thinks and feels in words, Chinese or English. I choose Word-live Space website for Winston's blog(http://winston-funhouse.spaces.live.com/), because it is (one of the very few) not blocked in this country. The bad thing is that everyone need to sign in Wordlive to leave a comment. That means I can not disguise in different names to leave a comment in his blog. That would be less fun.
